Welcome to the website for the Religion and Spiritualities caucus of the North American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA). We are an interdisciplinary and international group of scholars and teachers interested in how the study of religion and spirituality can contribute to critical understanding of nineteenth-century literature, history, and culture.
As a research community, we aim to promote this area of scholarly inquiry, create opportunities for collaboration, and share related resources. Our initiatives include organizing panels, seminars, and roundtables at NAVSA’s annual conferences. In between conferences, we host virtual events, circulate regular bulletins highlighting new work in the field, and facilitate a mailing list that helps members to share CFPs and organize collaborations.
